1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ReflowablePDF desktop application, website, credit purchase mechanisms, and hosted OCR processing services ("Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ReflowablePDF, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service & Workflows

ReflowablePDF provides specialized PDF-to-EPUB conversion tools tailored for academic documents, multi-column books, mathematical formulas, and scanned publications. The Service offers three access modes:

Free Preview: A 1-time 30-page free preview grant for new installations to evaluate PDF extraction quality and desktop editor capabilities.
Managed Credits: Pay-as-you-go cloud AI OCR processing using platform credits, requiring no model key setup.
Pro + BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): Perpetual desktop software license permitting users to supply their own Mistral API key without consuming platform credits.

3. User Content Ownership & Responsibilities

100% User Ownership: You retain complete, exclusive ownership and copyright over all source PDF files processed by ReflowablePDF as well as all generated EPUB files. ReflowablePDF claims no ownership or license rights over your documents.
Acceptable Use: You represent and warrant that you own or possess all necessary rights and legal permissions to process and transform the PDF documents you submit. You agree not to use the Service to infringe copyrights, violate applicable privacy laws, or process unlawful content.

4. Pricing, Units & Accountless Device Model

Accountless Model: ReflowablePDF does not require account registration or passwords. Credit balances and license status are linked securely to your computer's unique anonymous Device ID.
Managed Credits Unit Pricing: Hosted OCR credits are measured in PDF pages. Credits are sold in units of 200 pages for $3.00 USD ($0.015 per page), with a minimum single purchase of 1 unit ($3.00 USD).
Automatic Rounding: At checkout, purchase quantities automatically round up to the nearest 200-page integer unit required to complete the selected document.
No Expiration & Non-Subscription: Managed credits never expire. All credit purchases are one-time payments; ReflowablePDF does not charge recurring subscription fees.

5. Payment Processing (Merchant of Record)

All credit unit and software license transactions are processed securely by Creem, acting as the official Merchant of Record.

Creem handles payment billing, tax collection, invoicing, currency conversions, and transaction processing. By placing an order, you agree to Creem's payment terms and billing policies.

6. Failure Refunds, Cancellations & Balance Recovery

Automated Failure Refund: If a cloud OCR job fails or is interrupted before successful completion, pre-deducted page credits are automatically restored to your device balance.
Refund Policy: Because credit units do not expire and offer free sample previews, purchases are generally non-refundable once credits have been consumed. If you experience unresolvable technical defects or accidental duplicate orders, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support at [email protected] with your Creem Order ID.
No Subscriptions to Cancel: Since all payments are one-time non-recurring purchases, there are no subscription renewals or ongoing billing obligations to cancel.
Device Transfer & Balance Recovery: If you change computers or reinstall your system, your unused credit balance can be manually transferred to your new Device ID upon presenting your purchase receipt or order ID to support.

7. Product Split & Migration

ReflowablePDF is an independent product dedicated to document conversion. Eligible customers with remaining paid credits from legacyAny2Ebook PDF features may receive a matching one-time credit grant in ReflowablePDF in accordance with our product migration guidelines.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and software are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While ReflowablePDF provides advanced AI OCR layout extraction and book editing workflows, actual conversion accuracy depends on source PDF quality and formatting complexity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReflowablePDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the total amount actually paid by you for ReflowablePDF credits or licenses in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
